Matīss Kaža (1995) is a Latvian writer, director and producer. He got his BFA in Film & TV from Tisch School of the Arts in New York, and an MA in Audiovisual & Performing Arts from the Latvian Academy of Culture. He has directed, written and produced a number of internationally recognized Baltic films, and runs the production company Trickster Pictures while also being a lead producer at the animation studio Dream Well Studio.

While many of his works have a socially resonance, the primary criteria for his projects is a strong sense of authorship and cinematic vision that resonates beyond national borders. His latest directed film "Neon Spring" (2022) premiered in Edinburgh Film Festival and was screened in festivals around the world.

Most recently, he produced "Sisters" (2022, Warsaw Film Festival 1+2 Competition Winner) by Linda Olte, co-produced "Drowning Dry" (2024, Locarno Main Competition) by Laurynas Bareiša and co-wrote and produced "Flow" (2024, Cannes Un Certain Regard) by Gints Zilbalodis. When he's not working in film, Matīss writes and directs for the theatre and works as a lecturer at the Latvian Academy of Culture.

Dārta Krāsone is an aspiring young film producer and film industry professional currently based in Riga, Latvia. In 2023 she acquired a BA degree in film at the Paris-1 Pantheon Sorbonne University in France shortly before joining Trickster Pictures in June 2023. Dārta has a 5 year experience in the film industry where she has worked as a production coordinator, 1st and 2nd assistant to director and for three years as the creative director of RojaL Film festival in Latvia. Dārta’s represented projects have been chosen for such creative programmes as Baltic Pitching Forum, Locarno film festival’s MatchMe! for young producers as well as MEDIA’s Documentary Campus Masterschool.

Nikola Ozola (2001) is an emerging Latvian film producer with a passion for analog photography and the human-nature relationship exploration through cinema. Nikola has a BA degree in production of audiovisual and performance arts at the Latvian Academy of Culture. For the past 3 years she has been a programme coordinator at the RIGA IFF Showcase and has been a producer of multiple short films, such as the modern fairytale North Pole (2024) and anthropological comedy Darwin's Darlings (2023). Currently, Nikola is a part of the Trickster Pictures team and wishes to expand her knowledge in arthouse film distribution, sales and international co-production.
